Richard Strauss

»Verführung« Op. 33, No.1

(lyrics by John Henry Mackay)

This playback is already available, even though I think I'll have to work on some dynamic details. Singers who purchase it right now, will get an update free of charge, as soon as the finishing is completed.

8. Dezember 2020:

Does anyone know the plural of »mafia«? Doesn't matter anyway. Let's say: one of the usual agencies, who like to spit in my soup even if the composer, whose works I render as orchestral playbacks (i.a. on Youtube), has been dead for more than 70 years, has reacted again, and it did so stante pede - the usual free demo (score video) was still warm, what do I say: the oven door was not quite open yet: they are fast, you have to admit. I haven't uploaded anything on Youtube for a while, because I was (and still am) so much involved with composers who are not yet in the public domain. But you can rely on these people: it is quite possible that they let their dogs bark, even when you're publicly humming the Seikilos song. After all, I have been very brief today in wording my objection. The malicious comments (prepared as text modules), which I usually send to them, are not read and/or appreciated by these people anyway... About the music: The score and texture of this Strauss song is quite complex. There is no lack of opportunities to do my thing in a suboptimal way. Especially dynamically, the last word has not been spoken yet. Are »Muße« (leisure) and »Muß« (must) etymologically related actually? At first I was about to write: »Nonsense, they are not«, but then I checked: they are! Thus: Sufficient leisure is a must, if the job is to be well-done. The plural of »mafia« is quite a different matter: no one needs it...
