Something had escaped due to my immersion in Gustav Mahler's work and my fixation on the Vienna Symphonic Library: nowadays it has become possible to have sampled choir voices sing real
lyrics. For practice purposes and to test whether the »Symphonic Choirs« or the »Wordbuilder« delivers what the company's name EWQL (»EastWest Quantum Leap«) promises, i.e. whether one can
really
speak of a »quantum leap«, I created a playback of Brahms' »Alto Rhapsody« using my orchestral samples of the VSL and a sampled male choir of EWQL.
