Mahler Minus You

Welcome and congrats, you singers !

You've just found the best (and so far only) place to come

to finally find the authentic

orchestral accompaniments ("minus" singing)

to all (!) of Mahler's works for voice and orchestra.

Let me help you making your choice out of 45 orchestral accompaniment tracks

(more than 4 hours playing time) waiting for being licensed for you.

I'm looking forward to receiving your mail to

Of course, it's up to you to

either skip or previously browse the following

list which is linked* to 45 extended audible tastings.

It may also serve to estimate the maximum costs,

but since this is not (yet) an anonymous and automated online shop,

I will have the pleasure to receive an email from you in any case

to consult about your tailor-made order and conditions.

See you soon !

Yours truly Uli Schauerte

* I have noticed that using a mobile phone, jumping to the desired beginning of a song might not work

reliably. If necessary, you have to manually select these beginnings in the linked Youtube video.

Let's stay honest: many singers may be called, but few are chosen to get their deserved chance to sing Mahler's orchestrated lieder cycles, his "Lied von der Erde” or the vocal movements from symphony no. 2 - 4 with authentic orchestral accompaniment, let alone getting this possibility at any time or place – for rehearsing purposes, but why not for concerts or recordings? – anyway: Here (and to my knowledge ONLY here) you get this possibility !
From the summer of 2016 to January of the year 2018, I have spent my time creating purely instrumental playbacks using the unmatched authentic and varied sampled instruments of Vienna Symphonic Library® for devoting to anything Gustav Mahler ever composed for solo voice and orchestra.

What exactly arose by taking care of any orchestral score detail and agogic, tonal or dynamic nuance, you can imagine best, if you take a bit of leisure for your ramble through the extended audio samples which are waiting to be peered by you in/as numerous Youtube videos: A mouse click on any blue line in the above list should lead you to the respective title.

(By the way - do not allow some possibly occurring slight crackling noise to spoil your enjoyment: The complete tracks, which you will be able to download for a fair price (mostly 0,50 € or 0,60 $ per minute) as wav files, will always be of impeccable sound quality ! The above links should lead you directly to the related title (long excerpt) within one of my largest Youtube videos presenting the Mahler project.

Of course the whole repertoire is destined to be available in full length and in various keys/registers by request. If wished each title is available in any preferred tonality. For certain titles (e.g. "Der Abschied") it will be useful to command a version with metronome clicks too. For best quality I provide the ordered tracks as wav files. When paid you get a mail containung a link which enables you to download them. Please note that I'll have to ask you to accept a license agreement saying:

You're allowed to use any of the purchased tracks for public performances and/or recordings even commercially, provided that my participation is adequately acknowledged and each track is unseparable from the complete and well audible vocal part. However, it is strictly forbidden to pass any of the files to third parties, as long as they are instrumental and not yet combined with their complete vocal parts. In so far you do not purchase objects changing hands, but just untransferable personal licenses.

I'm free to offer individual conditions even including gratis tracks.

Recording some of Mahler's lieder using my orchestral playbacks as accompaniment, the Argentinean tenor Gustavo Monastra (* 1974)  is the first singer of distinction having discovered my work for his interpretation. Currently that is:
There's also a video uniting these 12 lieder.

And you can find them in the Internet Archive.

I have to confess the name of Monastra had not been a concept to me, nor was I aware of the fact that a Monastra recording of the
"Revelge" using my piano accompaniment was existing. The beginning of a new era within my project is some day in the summer of 2016 when I decided to devote to the orchestral versions. Even I myself had almost forgotten the fact that I had already recorded and published some of the piano accompaniments then..

Since april 2017 some (16) of my orchestral playbacks are also offered for purchase in a special interactive file format by SMARTSOLOIST (Massachusetts).

The clou is: Loading such a file into the "smartsoloist" software, you as the singer will be enabled to easily design and then save every detail and shading of your own tempo, just as if you were the conductor.  Availabe on at present:
